Land of the Giants Hosta Farm is owned and operated by Jeff and Penny Miller.
We started with a shade garden with about 25 different hosta varieties. I became addicted and kept buying more and more. We currently have over 220,000 hostas planted in the ground with over 2,100 different varieties of hostas. Many of which are rare and unique plants that are not readily available at local nurseries but eagerly sought after by devoted hosta and shade lovers nationwide.
The factory that I worked for shut down and I had enough seniority to retire so we have enjoyed the gardens as our place of employment. What a great job!
There have been many people who wanted to come and visit our gardens and in 2011 we had 13 bus tours from around the country and many wonderful people who just wanted to see the gardens. From the end of May till the first part of September we had around 15,000 people come and enjoy the gardens.
Jeff also does speaking engagements around the country every year.
