Medium-large mound of foliage this bluish green to dark green in the center with a 1 3/4" wide gold margin; average mound size 19" high x 48" wide, but as large as 22" x 51"; leaf size 10 1/2" long x 10" wide (17 vp); up to 14 1/2" x 12 3/8" (18 vp);leaf blade broadly oblong-ovate with a deeply lobed base and slight tip; moderate corruagated; thick substance.

17" x 38" mound; blue-green leaf with yellow, chartreuse, white streaks, moderatly corrugated streaks.

War Paint

Large pointed and pie-crusted leaves emerge in the spring with a clear bright butter-yellow center surrounded by a dark green margin. The yellow center holds for a few weeks and then begins to darken…the process is not even and some portions turn chartreuse and others pale green. By mid June the center fades to a paler green than the margin and the show is over for the season.

Whirlwind Tour

Grows into a small clump. Leaf center starts out in May and early June as a muted green, then turns to a rich creamy yellow with a dark green border late on in June through July and on, the leaves do not twist as does H. 'Whirlwind.' Leave is not as wide, probably the leaf center will become lighter in color with more sun.
